New Zealand Congress April 2026
Since 2013, efforts have been made to bring the congress movement from its place of origin to the other side of the world. From April 16 to 18, 2026, the first congress was held in New Zealand, in Napier, on the east coast of the North Island. Between 100 and 200 participants gathered at the conference venue, located directly on the ocean beach. We came together under the theme “Celebrating diverse ways of being human”.
We took part in a Māori welcome ceremony, visited the “Hohepa” organisation where various workshops and a Taekwon-Do performance were offered, enjoyed a gala dinner, and a party featuring the famous “Mutes from Mars” boarded from Auckland. We hope for another opportunity to attend a congress, being brave enough to make this long journey, and to help ensure that cyclones or earthquakes spare this wonderful place again.
